Mandalay
3 yo Shire x TB mare, 16H. Black with three high whites and a blaze. She’s finally here and she proved worth the wait; what a stunning mare! She was very easy to start. No buck, no scoot – we just climbed right up. She’s well balanced and has three really good gaits. She is not super tall, but is substantial and will make up into anything you want her to be. She is sure to excel at dressage, and will be a super jumper. She seems to have an unflappable mind and is very smart. She is very special.
Thanks to Meg Biehl for her purchase of this sweet girl.

Duncormick
Mick is a 3 yo Perch x TB gelding. A black bay with a tiny star, this guy will finish up a stunning horse. Currently about 16H, he’ll easily finish up 16.1H +. He’s really, really well balanced at the canter for a young horse and is very trainable; he makes real, solid progress with every ride, which makes him a real pleasure. He’s got some growing and filling out to do, but in a year’s time he will be a super attractive individual. He’s quiet in the barn and a love to handle. He’ll do pretty much anything – hunt, event, dressage.
Thanks to Don Pistorio and his trainer Christine Betz of Maryland for their purchase of Mick. We know you’ll love his heart of gold.

O’Brian’s Bridge*
“Jake” in the barn.
He’s a very special horse. First of all, he is really, really quiet. When we broke him, we just climbed up - he was that laid back. Secondly, what a nice, well balanced mover, just an unbelievable canter. The first time we were on his back he could canter in the roundpen which is only 40 feet and I have older trained horses that have trouble with that. Third he has the temperament that makes him a “Dundulk” horse. Just goes right along with anything, no big spook, very trainable, learns every time he has a lesson. Plus, he is bred like another horse we sold – Pepe (formerly Gabriel) who is an awesome jumper. We expect more of the same out of Jake. A stylish, quiet, athletic horse.
A sincere thank you to Amy Hella of Annapolis for her purchase of Jake – a horse of a lifetime. |
Jemima
4 yo Belgian x Paint mare. A bit under 16H, this beautifully marked mare is another one that offers you an extraordinary temperament. She is just exceptionally quiet and pretty much goes along with anything that is asked of her. She has good balance and is very rhythmic in her movement. Absolutely no spook! She is truly “beginner proof” despite her age. She has hunted second flight a few times this spring and is as quiet on the hunt field as she is at home in the ring. She is so accepting of anything she is presented with, that you can’t help but love her. We think she will be a fabulous jumper as she used to jump out of her paddock regularly when she was separated from her friend as a yearling. and she goes down to anything we point her at. She is scheduled to begin eventing in May. Beauty and brains in one package!
heart-felt thank you to Anita Trotter-Cox of Annapolis for her purchase of this sweet young mare.

Willamena
(Willa)
16.1H 4 yo Belgian x Paint mare. ABSOLUTELY perfectly put together! This mare has textbook conformation which gives her **the most extraordinary balance for a young horse.. She is the perfect type – good bone without being heavy, about 16.1 as a 4 yo, she is extraordinarily lovely. She has that natural rhythm and cadence that only comes from really well put together horses, her canter is delightful and she has a great work ethic. She is well started at w/t/c, hacks out sensibly and jumps little X’s. She has hilltopped this spring and is as good as gold on the hunt field. She also began eventing and won the dressage in an elementary event her first time out by 5 points with some 8s. She is a good jumper with textbook knees. She is dead quiet in the barn, stands for the farrier, vet, ties, loads, etc. What a head turner she will be in the dressage ring eventing or out hunting. This is a lovely mare with an unlimited future. If you are looking for a smaller, more refined prospect, don’t miss her!
Sold to Amy Crandall of N.C. Good luck with this lovely young mare.

India
3 yo TB x Perch mare. Good things come in small packages! India is a 15.2H ¾ TB, ¼ Perch mare, black with 2 small hind socks. Don’t let her size fool you, she is a huge mover. Her trot will blow you away. But the best part is her temperament, she is extraordinarily quiet. We have not seen a spook in her and she hacks out quietly in the fields and roads. She has some growing to do yet but she has well-sprung ribs and takes up your leg. She should mature between 15.3 or 16H. We have just popped her over a few x’s and she pretty much goes down to anything. She will make a field hunter, event horse or a super dressage prospect. If you are looking for a dressage prospect, don’t miss her. A quiet, trainable little lady with a rock solid temperament.
Sold to Dee Mordas of NJ Thanks for your purchase of this cool little mare

Titan
(Tee)
Here’s how quiet this horse is: on only his third time hunting this spring, he packed a 12 yo pony clubber who has only been riding for a year and she had a blast. Tee is a 4 yo Belgian cross gelding who is progressing beautifully. He's solid at w/t/c and while green over fences, he pretty much jumps anything you point him at. He has a wonderful laid back attitude and will follow you around in the field looking for a pat.. He is currently 15.3 and should mature around 16H or a bit more. He’s very forward and quite a nice mover with good suspension in his gaits. Wonderful to have in the barn, very quiet for the farrier & vet, stands tied, trailers, etc. I can’t say enough about this horse’s personality – if you are looking for a friend & companion this is your horse. He’s a true black and a very striking looking horse. A lovely prospect that would make an awesome event horse.
Thanks to the Burkets of Middletown, MD for the purchase of this sweet boy.

Larson
(Sonny)
Coming 5 yo Belgian cross gelding, 16.1H. When one of my riders got off of Larson after riding him for the first time, her comment was “This horse is so cool!” And he is. First of all, he has no spook! Just packs you wherever you want to go. Windy days don’t bother him, deer jumping out of the woods don’t bother him. He’s a heavier type but don’t let his looks fool you. He is nicely forward, really good trot and a delightful canter. And surprise – an awesome jumper. We are hunting him lightly – just needs to a bit fitter. This is a husband horse or a guest horse in addition to being a suitable extra to a string of hunters.
Thanks to Shelly Herlihy for her purchase of this all around good guy.

Johnny Walker!
He's here and he's fabulous!
Coming 4 yo 16.2+ draft x warmblood gelding. Seal bay with a blaze and a sock. He’s a knock-your-socks-off kind of horse. A wonderful mover – soft and light, a lovely topline, classic head, super hip – just oozes class when you look at him. If you are looking for an exceptional prospect with a good mind, this type does not come along that often. He's very quiet - willing to hack out alone or in company and just a joy to handle. He’s solid without being heavy, sensitive without being hot, and the kind of horse that’s very hard to find. With his athleticism, he would be well suited to anything but would surely make a stunning field hunter. The quintessential Master’s Horse, He seems to really like to jump. He is hunting second flight and will event this spring.
Thanks to Kimberly Kempa of Barnesville. Maryland for her purchase of this wonderful guy.

Asia
Coming 5 yo Perch x TB Mare. 16H+. Dead quiet, absolutely no spook! This mare takes whatever comes her way in stride. She’s a really nice size – a bit over 16H and will grow some yet so she will probably mature around 16.1H. She’s substantial but not heavy and would suit a wide variety of people. She could carry some weight but would also be good for a smaller person. Super conformation with a lovely front end. Lovely mover with three good, correct gaits. She is well started and currently going out second flight with the hounds. She took to hunting like she takes to everything, quietly and obediently. She is jumping little fences and does not look at a thing. She would be as well suited to the dressage ring as to the hunt field. We can’t say enough about her lovely quiet mind. If temperament is everything to you, don’t miss this one.
Thanks to Helen and Dacre Walker for their purchase of a second horse from us. We hope you enjoy this wonderful mare as much as we have. |
Piper
Those of you who peruse this site know that we look at an astonishing number of horses before we chose even one to represent us; we only want extraordinary representations of the breed And in Piper, we got just that - an extraordinary horse. We hardly know how to describe him – built as uphill as they come, he offers you an extraordinary amount of natural self-carriage, a state that most horses would have to school for years to achieve. He’s quiet and trainable and already hacking out calmly. His gaits are hard to believe, he can canter slower than any three year old we have ever seen and his first time over an X was shock and awe to everybody watching - with his knees up to his ears and the perfect spot. He could do anything and be extremely successful at it, dressage, jumping, eventing. And just for icing on the cake, he is drop dead gorgeous with enough chrome to blind you. Piper, a 16.1H bay 3 yo clyde x warmblood gelding.
Thanks to Lisa and Rick Staples (again) for their purchase of a second horse from us! Can’t wait to see you both out hunting.

4 yo, 16.1H paint x Percheron x Hackney gelding. Attention dressage enthusiasts, here’s your prospect! VERY uphill, good natural rhythm and cadence, huge hind step with natural engagement from behind. Two good gaits and, an absolutely extraordinary canter with a lot of elevation. Plus, he is very sensitive; he goes into contact with just the lightest touch on the reins, has tons of self-carriage and is nicely forward. He really offers a lovely disposition and is quite striking to look at. He’s a nice size – not heavy and is very comfortable to ride. He will make a striking dressage horse that is soft and light in the bridle and off your leg.
Thanks to the Shearins for their purchase of Zypher for Sarah. We couldn’t be happier that she got him. |

A 16. H + 3 yo filly, mahogany bay with three even socks. A Cleveland Bay x French Coach cross. Think champagne & caviar, fine wines and rare orchids. The equine equivalent of a James Bond girlfriend, she is quite possibly the nicest filly we have ever had. This mare’s long high set neck and huge sloping shoulder give her so much self carriage that her movement is air born. Her substantial hindquarters and big hind step will make dressage a piece of cake. She is intelligent, has a good work ethic and is a pleasure to behold. Her athleticism is such that she could probably do anything, but she will certainly excel at dressage. An unusual cross, she offers a superb blend of looks and talent. She is well started w/t/c and is just waiting to make a rider look good.
Thanks to Cathy Belch of Berryville, VA for her purchase of this spectacular mare. |

4yo Bel x paint gelding who can really jump! A pretty, pretty horse. All cream and gold colors with a sweet temperament to match... He is about 15.3H and is well started, w/t/c hacking out & jumping. We bought him because we loved his kind temperament and his lovely looks but boy, were we surprised to find out that he could really jump! After clearing his paddock fence several times ( about 4'6") effortlessly, we started him over fences in the ring, and he just goes over whatever you point him at. He has a stylish front end and really reaches and rotates his shoulders. A natural style that you can't teach. He's already been to his first jumper show where he was 2nd by 1/100th of a second in a little puddle jumpers class. Kind & quiet in the barn. Quiet on hunt trail rides with 40 horses, he's ready to start hunting or eventing. This is a special guy.
Thanks to Vicky Collins of Glyndon, MD for her purchase of this extremely cool horse. |

3 yo Bel x Appy mare. Big and beautiful, this mare is a stunning mover, huge stride and powerful, come from behind movement. Her ideal conformation makes everything work exactly the way it should. This mare has blown us all away with her temperament; she's so quiet we wonder if she has a pulse! My hand to God, it took us six sessions to get her to w/t/c and hacking out from being totally unbroke. Absolutely no spook!. A big huge canter and all the potential in the world. This is a dazzling mare. If you have never trained a green horse, don't let that stop you from looking at this mare, she's that quiet; anyone can train her.
Thanks to Joan Witticopp of Rochester, NY for her purchase of this lovely, sweet girl

16.1H 5 yo Belgian cross gelding. Woody is a heavier type that offers you the best mind. Nothing bothers him. His unflappable temperament is combined with lovely gaits that will surprise you. His trot is light and forward and his canter is an absolute delight. Very, very comfortable for someone with back issues. He is well started at w/t/c and is jumping small fences. He is currently hacking out with 40+ horses on hunter tune up rides and is very quiet in company. This horse is a confidence builder and would make a super husband/guest horse. He is a liver chestnut color with flaxen mane and tail, has the best barn manners ever. We think he’ll make up into a super hunter.
Thanks to Kim & Rick Hall of Ohio for their purchase of Woodman. I hope you enjoy him s much as we have! |

4 yo ISR/Oldenburg bay gelding with two hind socks and a blaze. Elegance personified! By the incomparable Santa Cruz, this horse can really move! A half brother to Chareef, on our Sold Page, he has a long swan like neck, beautiful shoulder and a short back. He has all the movement you could want for dressage. He has a wonderful mind and really, really bonds with people. He has been slowly and carefully started and is ready to begin his life’s work. This is an unbelievably stylish horse whose potential will only be limited by his rider. He stands tied, stands for the vet, farrier, trailers, etc.
A special thank you to Deborah Lowham and her trainer Judy McGaughan for her purchase of this super young horse. |
|
5yo Clyde x Hackney 16.1H bay gelding with four socks. A natural for dressage with a huge hind step and natural rhythm and cadence to his movement. He is well suited for anything as he has hacked out with forty horses on hunt trail rides, and has BN events under his belt. He will be an awesome jumper as most clyde hackneys are. Dressage judges love him as he received some 7s at his first show ever. He's kind and quiet and sensitive enough to make training easy.
Thanks to Rich Dudash for his purchase of Duke, a 5yo Clyde x Hackney gelding. |

While rare, it is famous for it’s iron constitution, light type, soundness & vigor and wonderful mind. They first set foot on North American soil (Lower Canada then known as New France) in 1665, sent by Louis XIV from his private stables and were of Andalusian, Arab & Barb bloodlines.... Natural Selection began its work, creating an extremely hardy horse as only the toughest survived a Canadian winter with no grain, hay or shelter. Existing mostly on straw, they became smaller in size, but one of the world’s hardiest and soundest breeds earning the name “Little Iron Horse”.
Thank you to Judy Hartman for her purchase of this neat mare. |

3 yo true black percheron x tb gelding. This is one stunning horse. He will be big, 16.3 to 17H. Refined, floating mover, good solid temperament – he is striking! Pictures just can’t do him justice. He is built very uphill and is very light on his feet. He has that indefinable “presence” that catches everyone’s eye. He is as well suited to dressage as he is to jumping. He is started under saddle and is proving to be a focused, attentive student who likes to learn. He is that rare draft cross that offers you the looks of a warmblood combined with a wonderful temperament. He’s sexy and stylish and one of a kind.
Thank You! To Robyn Shegda of Doylestown, PA for your purchase of this wonderful guy. |
